Three Chinese fencers have tested positive for coronavirus after returning from the International Fencing Federation (FIE) Fencing Grand Prix in Budapest. The Chinese Fencing Association announced the three fencers had been diagnosed with coronavirus and are now receiving hospital treatment, as reported by the China Global Television Network.

The South Korean national fencing team and their coaches have now gone into self-isolation for two weeks. All qualifying events for the Olympic fencing contest at Tokyo Olympic have now been postponed or canceled. Hungary has 85 cases of coronavirus confirmed so far, with four deaths. There are more than 270,000 cases worldwide, with more than 11,000 deaths.
